“I received support for approximately 10 years, from age 16-26 years old whilst living at home with mum. I now live with mum but we are ‘flatmates’.

I am working full-time and save as well as pay all my own bills and costs. Options supported me to learn to cook, drive, do household chores, dog walking, attending court and phone support when I was in Christchurch.

My support worker coped with a lot of my ranting over the years! This has given me time to learn to focus. I have good control over my temper now. In this time, I also used Tautoko behaviour support services and then Explore to work alongside Options who helped work through some complex issues.”
