Board Profiles

Chairperson:
Andrea McLeod.
Andrea is the Regional Manager of Cavit ABI Rehabilitation.
Her qualifications include a Post-Graduate Diploma in Health Services Management as well as Women’s Studies.
Andrea’s area of interest includes organisational development/change management, operational management, business development and project management.
Andrea was a recipient of the NZ Young Executive of the Year (Deloitte Touche Top 200 Business Awards – NZIM prize) in 2002.

Board Member:
Alisdair M. P. Ross.

Alisdair is a barrister and holds a BA (Hons), LLM (Hons). He practises in the criminal, youth court and mental health jurisdictions and has done so for some 18 years.
As a consequence of specialising in these areas of law, a significant number of his clients have mental health and/or intellectual disability issues.
Alisdair was a founding member of the Restorative Justice Services Wellington Trust. This not-for-profit organisation has an emphasis on providing restorative justice within the criminal justice system and services all the courts throughout the Wellington region. He has been a member of that board since its inception, including being the chairperson for a number of years.

Board Member:
Justine Pivac-Solomon.

Justine is currently employed at the Ministry of Social Development.
Her main area of expertise is in health promotion including the planning and evaluation of health promotion programmes within the community and resource development.
She is also involved in audits and reviews of various organisations.
Justine has a working knowledge of organisations in the community, particularly around research, as well as planning, implementing and evaluating programmes.

Board Member:
Jools Joslin.

Jools has an extensive generic history of working within the disability sector.
She is currently the Operations Manager (Department of Internal Affairs) for Community Grant Funding and has previously been employed as a Project Manager with the Ministry of Health.
Her areas of experience include both public sector and community involvement for the last 20 years - the focus of her public sector work being funding and policy work.

Board Member:
Scott Bregman

Scott is currently employed by Wellington Institute of Technology, as Lecturer/programme manager. Scott has been working in the area of adult education for the past 20 years. He has specialised in, and has extensive knowledge of working with people with disabilities in a variety of settings. Scott has a working knowledge of community organisations and has been involved as a board member/trustee with a variety of initiatives.

Board Member:
Jan Perkins.

Jan is the CEO of Tautoko Services who also sits on the Board. She was involved in the development of Tautoko Services and has over 30 years experience in the disability sector.
Professional qualifications: Diploma in Fine Arts, Leeds University; Postgraduate Diploma in Art Education, Leeds University; MSW (Hons), Massey University.
Jan is an Associate Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management Inc. She was also a recipient of the New Zealand 1990 Commemorative Medal for Community Service.

Josie Adlam
Josie is an experienced services industry leader who is now providing independent board director, mentoring/coaching, and business strategy services to enterprising organisations with a strong desire to accelerate their results. With a large portion of her career in the ICT sector, including sales, marketing, and product innovation positions at Telecom New Zealand and Alcatel-Lucent, Josie most recently spent several years at Kiwibank as the General Manager Distribution , heading up channels to market, including the award-winning online channel transformation and the customer experience team. Josie has always had a natural aptitude for business strategy and market development, which has effectively complemented her formal degree in Electrical Engineering. This has continued to be reflected in her successful leadership career since moving to New Zealand from the United States in 1994.

Alison Holt
An internationally acclaimed expert in the Corporate Governance of Information Technology (IT). Alison is Director and Founder of Longitude 174. Alison brings over twenty years of experience in the IT industry working in the USA, the UK and New Zealand. Delivering excellence across the private, public and not for profit sectors, she specialises in organisational governance, strategic planning, procurement and expediting organisational change programmes.
Alison is a fellow of the New Zealand Computer Society (FNZCS), and is one of the first certified IT professionals in New Zealand. As a member of the World Class New Zealander Network, she is committed to helping New Zealand’s international competitiveness and economic growth, and to building sustainable communities.
As a strong supporter of the work carried out by Tautoko, Alison looks forward to applying her skills to help the organisation continue to deliver life enhancing quality services.
