Anaru's Trip to America

Author: Tautoko Support Services/Monday, 19 March 2018/Categories: News

It was a great experience. We flew all the way to Los Angeles. I got to go to Disneyland and it was my favourite part of the trip. There was so many cool rides, but I really enjoyed the Star Wars ride. I also went to Universal Studios and the Harry Potter ride was really cool. I also liked the Simpsons ride. I also got to take a tour around Beverly Hills, but didn’t see many celebrities. The Hollywood sign was cool. There was a big ferris wheel, but I didn’t go on it because it was too high for me. America had really yummy donuts. We rode in a Limo on our way back to the airport, heading onto the next part of our trip.

Next we went to Hawaii. We bought lots of cool clothes in Hawaii. I got a Hawaii 5.0 t-shirt. We got to go to a feast. There were fire dancers there and some fireworks. I enjoyed swimming in the pool at the hotel. The beach was beautiful and warm. I accidentally got some sea water in my mouth which I didn’t like.

I really liked how the aeroplane had TV's in the seats so I could watch movies on the way there and back. The food on the plane was also yum. I got to also get a new phone when I was back in Auckland. I had a lot of fun, but it is good to be home.

If you would like to hear more about my trip, I have a radio show where I talked all about it. It airs on 999 AM Access Manawatu on Mondays at 11am. My show is called Anaru’s Options, and on it I talk about opportunities for people with disabilities, as well as what is going on in my life. If you missed my show or are busy when it is on, you can listen to all of my shows on demand at www.accessmanawatu.co.nz. I would love for you to join us.
